Train your team

Show it once.
Everyone can repeat it.

A live demo helps the people in the room. A guide helps everyone, whenever they need it. Record the demo and keep it as steps people can follow at their own pace.

In short

Chronika is a tool for creating employee training guides from screen recordings. Show a task once and each click becomes a step with its screenshot. Learners repeat it from a link, a step-by-step player or a PDF, and the trainer fixes only the steps that change. Everything stays in one workspace.

01How it works

Record it. Share it. Fix it. Keep it.

You are showing a colleague how to build a pivot table. Press record, talk it through, and the demo and the handout come out of the same run. In the Windows app a 3-2-1 countdown gives you a beat before the first click.

  1. Capture it as you work

Turn the demo into the training

Next time you show a colleague how a task goes, record it. Talk as you work. The clicks become the steps and your narration stays lined up with the steps it explains.

    • Record Excel and other Windows programs with the Windows app, web tools with the extension
    • Narration is kept with the steps it describes
    • A 3-2-1 countdown in the Windows app gives you a moment before the first click
  2. Share it where work happens

Let people follow along while they work

People learn a task by doing it, with the guide open beside them. Guide Me plays a guide one step at a time, and the step being read is the one that is lit. With the extension it can run right on the live page.

    • Guide Me player for any guide
    • Guide Me on the live site, driven by the extension
    • Public link, PDF or Word for people who prefer to read
  3. Fix the painful parts

Fix the step where people get lost

After the first session you know where people stumbled. Open the guide and put a tip on that step, circle the right cell, or crop away the noise. The next learner gets the improved version.

    • Annotate, zoom, crop and blur on each screenshot
    • Tips, notes and alerts sit on the step they belong to
    • Reorder, hide or duplicate steps when the demo order was not the best learning order
  4. Keep the library in order

    Small guides, filed together

Keep each task short and file related guides in a collection per topic, so a learner has one place to look. Editors keep the topic current and viewers read it.

    • Collections inside a team workspace
    • Editors write, viewers read, admins manage members
    • Your own drafts live in your personal workspace until they are ready
If the order you demoed is not the best order to learn in, ask me to move a step up, or to put a tip on the one where people got lost. I edit the text and the order; I cannot see the screenshots. I need an AI provider, which whoever runs your Chronika sets up.

02Example guides

Guides you would record

These are the kinds of guides a trainer could record. They are examples, not customer work.

  1. 01How to refresh and export the sales sheet
  2. 02How to build a pivot table
  3. 03How to log a call in the CRM
  4. 04How to use the shared team calendar
  5. 05How to submit an expense claim
  6. 06How to run the weekly report
Trainer examples, not customer work
Click “Export”, then “Create PDF/XPS Document”

03What you get

What Chronika does for training

  • Records a demonstration with its narration
  • Plays a guide one step at a time in Guide Me, lighting the current step
  • Runs Guide Me on the live page through the browser extension
  • Lets you tidy, annotate and reorder steps after the fact
  • Keeps related guides in collections
  • Works for one person with a personal workspace or a whole team

04Questions

Before you start

Do learners need Chronika installed?
Not to read a guide or play it in Guide Me. Guide Me on the live site runs through the browser extension, so a learner who wants that overlay installs it.
Can I add my voice?
Yes. Narrate while you record, and the narration is kept with the steps it describes. If you configure AI, narration can also be transcribed and used in the write-up.
Does it track who has finished a guide?
No. Chronika does not track who has read or completed a guide. It gives people the steps and you decide how to follow up.

Ready when you are
