Tidy it until it reads
at a glance.
A step is one instruction and one picture. Edit until that is true: blur what should not be seen, point at the button, say what people get wrong, and cut what does not matter.
Tip
Over €1,500 needs your manager’s approval first.
What does Edit do?
Chronika lets you edit and blur screenshots in how-to guides after recording. Rename, reorder, hide or duplicate steps, blur or crop what should not be seen, ring the button, and add tips, notes and alerts. If an AI provider is set up, it drafts the wording for you to review, apply and undo.
01Write-up
A first draft, written for you. Yours to change.
When AI is set up, a finished recording is written up from the clicks and your narration: a title, an introduction and the text of each step. The guide page also offers Write it up, which proposes a new version for you to read first.
- Nothing changes until you apply the write-up
- Undo puts the previous text back
- Without AI, recordings still get sensible titles and step text
- AI is optional. Your administrator picks the provider, or none

How to request a new laptop
Order a replacement or first laptop through the IT portal. IT gets everything it needs to prepare the machine.
- Click “Hardware”
- Click “Request” next to Laptop
- Select “14-inch, 16 GB memory”
02Mark up
Blur, crop, zoom and annotate
Open any screenshot and take out what the reader does not need. Then draw attention to the part that matters.
- Blur and crop: burned into a new image, so the original pixels do not go out with the guide
- Zoom in on the part of the screen that matters
- Annotate with arrows, boxes, highlights, text, numbers and a spotlight
- Pick from six annotation colors
Sample · a box and a number, drawn on the screenshot
03Callouts
Warn people where they usually slip
Some steps need a word of warning. Add a tip, a note or an alert between steps, and retitle or describe any step in your own words.
- Tips, notes and alerts sit between steps and are not numbered
- Every step has an editable title and an optional description
- Callouts show in Guide Me and in every export
Tip
Over €1,500 needs your manager’s approval first.
Note
The sixteen-inch model is for developers and designers only.
Alert
Do not submit a second request while the first is waiting.
04Order
Put the steps in order, and drop the ones you do not need
Recordings capture what you did, including the scroll you did not need to show. Fix that in the list.
- Reorder steps
- Hide a step without deleting it
- Duplicate a step
- Delete one step or many, with a single Undo
Steps
- Click “Hardware”
- Click “Request” next to Laptop
- Scroll down the page
- Select “14-inch, 16 GB memory”
Sample · drag to reorder, hide, duplicate, delete
